Selena Gomez, 19, recently expressed her interest in branching out into more adult film roles, but her lead role in the upcoming movie The Sky is Everywhere isn’t really helping her reach her goal. According to Deadline.com, Selena has signed on to play 17-year-old Lennie Walker in the film adaptation of the book of the same name.

The character Selena is playing is a band geek and is a major fan of reading. When her older sister dies, Lennie’s life is turned upside down and she is forced to grow up fast and help keep the family afloat.

The success of The Twilight Saga has made other vampire series, such as The Vampire Diaries and True Blood, extremely popular. Nina Dobrev is a product of that success because she stars as Elena Gilbert, an every day mortal, on The Vampire Diaries. Now the 23 year-old is ready to venture into movies and take on more aggressive roles.

“I want to become a different person,” she told Nylon. “I want to be a punk or a sweetheart or a drug addict! There are so many things to explore… Sometimes they’ll be like, ‘She’s not plain enough.’ Or ‘She’s not edgy enough.’ That frustrates me. I feel like a blank canvas, and I wish people would be a little more open-minded.”

As of now Nina isn’t exactly an A-list actress, but perhaps if she gets a chance to play a drug addict in a major film (more…)

Selena Gomez loves her fans so much that she gave them the task of choosing the scent of her debut fragrance. The winning scents were revealed on selenagomezperfumes.com – with raspberries as the top note, purple freesia as the heart note, and vanilla as the base note.

“Hi guys! Thank you so much for participating in helping me create my new fragrance!” Selena said in a statement to her fans. “You have picked raspberry as my top note, purple freesia as my heart note, and vanilla as my base note. I am very excited to share this new perfume with each and every one of you. Please stay tuned for information regarding the launch of my fragrance, available at Macy’s this May, and for the announcement of our 10 lucky winners who will be flown out to New York to help me make my final decision. Again, thank you for your help!”

It will be interesting to see if Selena’s fragrance is as popular as her boyfriend Justin Bieber’s fragrance, which is also sold at Macy’s. His perfume ‘Someday’ (more…)

Fans of The Twilight Saga should jump for joy after reading this! There is a very strong possibility that the film series is not over, and that we haven’t seen the last of the characters. Jon Feltheimer, CEO of Lions Gate Entertainment, recently revealed to the Los Angeles Times that he is very interested in expanding the series.

“It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value,” he said. “It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration. So the simple answer is ‘Boy I hope so.’”

When asked if there may be a TV series in the future, Jon responded “I would certainly hope so”. I think a Twilight TV series would be a huge success (more…)

Contrary to what the headline may have led you to believe, Kristen Stewart is not the face of perfume – but she is the face of a very prestigious women’s fragrance. The 21 year-old is the inspiration for a new scent by Balenciaga.

“Balenciaga has always stood out to me,” Kristen told Women’s Wear Daily. “Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga. It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived. It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable.”
