“There really isn’t a lot of opportunity to play a tough, kick-butt character,” she noted. “These huge, amazing fantasy films like Percy Jackson…it’s just an incredible, rare opportunity. I’m very lucky to have been a part of it. I got to have four to five sword fights where I beat up a bunch of boys…that’s a very cool thing to do. I think that’s a sign of her strength and she’s very tough.”
Alexandra added, “That was one of the main things I loved about her. Combining that strength with intelligence and not letting any kind of social stigma hold her back. She was who she was and it was great. It was empowering. I was even shocked with myself when I pulled it off.”
