Brenda Song, who can be seen right now on the big screen in the critically acclaimed and box office smash, The Social Network, recently chatted with Nylon Magazine. Brenda was named one of the publication’s “IT Girls” and thus sat down for a very entertaining read.
“It’s just really fun to play my age and work with people that I’ve looked up to, like Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher,” Brenda explained when asked about playing more mature roles. ”It was a totally different vibe — we were shooting with a single camera and doing night shoots.”
Brenda self-describes herself as “a die-hard Lakes fan” and actually went to the hospital once because she hyperventilated at home while watching a game. We will not call her crazy, however when it comes to describing her character Christy Lee on The Social Network, Brenda is more than willing to fill in the blanks.
“(She’s) a Harvard student, who meets Eduardo Saverin and Mark Zuckerberg right when Facebook is about to take off. She’s a very, very driven woman. She really represents what young women go through when we’re in a relationship, and how much Facebook affects our everyday lives. It’s funny — she’s a bit of a crazy girlfriend.”
