Brooklyn rapper Lerix is back with a new single entitled “I Got It”. The song is produced by Stompboxx and is the first single off Lerix’s new upcoming project Audio Arcade, the follow-up to his New Heights EP, set to be released in late Spring 2011.
Lerix said, “I’m really excited to be releasing new music to my fans, I really hope they like the new single! It’s a hip-hop banger with deep drums and witty lyrics.”
Lerix infatuation with hip-hop started at the age of 14 through his older cousin Hank Love, who was the co-host of 105.9’s “Hank love and Half-Pint show.” Soon enough, Lerix started writing songs, and joined ciphers in high school with his friends in the lunchroom. Lerix’s music is often compared with hip hop heavy weights like Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.
