Lady GaGa is amongst a slew of celebrities who took to Twitter to express her happiness over the New York State Senate’s decision to legalize gay marriage.
Lady GaGa tweeted a picture of herself surrounded by friends with the message:
“I can’t stop crying. We did it kids.”
“The revolution is ours to fight for love, justice+equality. Rejoice NY, and propose. We did it!!!”
A few other celebs also joined in Lady GaGa’s excitement.
Ellen De Generes:
“I’m thrilled about the news from NY.Marriage equality! Every day we get a little closer. What an amazing feeling.”
“NEW YORK! I ♥ U! You’re OFFICIALLY the coolest place on the planet!”
“I think that what is happening in NY tonight is an incredible thing,” “Nice work to Gov. Andrew Cuomo” and “”Proud to be FROM NY!”
Samantha Ronson (Lohan’s ex-girlfriend):
“Divorce lawyers all over New York State are celebrating tonight! YAY!” and “Yup.My head is gonna hurt tomorrow, but we all know it’s worth it!”
