“It is tragic that almost on a daily basis there are reports of deaths and severe injuries caused by drivers who are texting and driving,” Justin said. “We need to change the attitudes in our society toward texting and driving and I am making it one of my personal goals to make this happen.”
If you have attended one of Justin’s concerts, you may have noticed that each night the pop star hangs a banner at the venue that encourages teens to end texting and driving.
“We are planning to continue to give $1 from every ticket sold to this cause and the addition of PhoneGuard to this team will help us expand our efforts even further,” he explained.
Justin will participate in a series of promotions with the software company, which is the maker of Drive Safe, a mobile app that disables texting and email functions when users are in a car moving faster than 10 miles per hour.
