As first reported on JSYK, a Tumwater High School running back scored a touchdown during a recent state playoff game in Washington and after he dropped to one knee and pointed a finger to the sky — the high school student-athlete was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.
While its becoming an ever popular trend in the NFL to show-off in the endzone with a dance or something, high school football currently penalizes players who draw attention to themselves after scoring a TD.
While Ronnie (not pictured) defended the action to give credit to his Lord, he did state that if the penalty would become a habit he would avoid it again to prevent the 15 yard penalty.
What do you think about religion in sports? Did Ronnie cross the line with his touchdown celebration?
