Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 returned to #1 spot on The Billboard 200 this week. Bieber lost the top spot to Usher’s Raymond V Raymond last week.
The announcement came along with another terrific milestone for Bieber. Justin is now the youngest male solo artist ever to top the chart for two or more weeks. Ricky Nelson, who was 17 in 1958, was previously the youngest artist to hold that honor.
In order to truly understand the magnitude of this accomplishment, one should compare Justin’s feat to a legend like Stevie Wonder - who at the tender age of 13 - could only stay on top of the charts for one week.
My World 2.0 has sold 676,000 copies in its first three weeks. It took Justin’s My World EP seven weeks to sell that many copies. My World 2.0 has also sold more copies in three weeks than Jonas Brothers’ latest studio album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, has sold in its entire run.
