Miley Cyrus’ new album Can’t Be Tamed has been out since Monday, thus giving fans a few days to jam out and enjoy the lyrics.
The songs and overall content of the album may mean something different to everyone, however MTV allowed the starlet a chance to share what the album and individual songs meant personally to her.
Miley told MTV that Can’t Be Tamed was designed to empower women, “I think ‘Tamed’ does it the best, and ‘Liberty Walk,’” Miley replied. “It’s just about freeing yourself from anything you think is holding you back. And I think that’s really important, especially for girls, so many people are told, ‘No, you can’t do something,’ or, ‘You need to be this because Mom and Dad say that, teachers say this.’”
Good point Miley, so what exactly is your advice to young girls worldwide?
“Really think about what you want to do for the rest of your life,” Miley lectured. “There’s a short amount of time, when you think about it, no day needs to go by wasted.”
Miley also talked about the song “Liberty Walk,” one that is already receiving a lot of stark conversation across the web. ”I wrote it for women that feel like they’re stuck in abusive relationships, but it’s a dance song,” Miley explained. ”So you think that must be kind of a sad ballad, but it’s a party song…It’s about breaking free.”
