Monique Coleman is taking over the world. Literally. The star recently visited Haiti and topped that amazing experience by doing something your average 29-year-old fails or even lacks the interest to accomplish.
Monique tackled Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. where the budding talk show host and author talked in front of the United Nations. Monique was invited to speak at the UN for the “International Year of the Youth.” The visit was part of her promotional tour for Gimme Mo’.
Monique shared, “In 2010 it’s hard to believe that many parts of the world live on just a few dollars a day; that in America, the land of opportunity, the high-school drop-out rates are at an all time high. Or that in certain countries girls are being forced to become women far before they are ready.”
“From global warming to human trafficking, earthquakes to corporate disaster, there is no shortage of world issues for us to be aware of. As future leaders it’s imperative that we open our eyes to our brothers and sisters all over the world and help solve problems down the street as well as across the sea.”
We’re thinking that Monique should skip out on the whole talk show gig and become the next President of the United States.
