In a day and age where the media can and will dread on anything negative to say about a president, Nick Jonas and Jordin Sparks are literally acting above and beyond their age.
Sure, Nick (age 18) and Jordin (21) were not even alive when Ronald Reagan served in the oval office, but that’s not stopping them from reaching out and supporting the 40th President of the United States.
Nick and Jordin are leading a committee of 35 prominent young people touched by his life. The National Youth Leadership Committee of Ronald Reagan Centennial Celebration includes athletes, entertainers and student leaders who are all under the age of 25.
The group, according to AP, are inspired in a personal way by Reagan’s vision of freedom and his leadership. They are also here to celebrate Reagan’s 100th birthday on February 6th.
Nick added, “My father and my family were supporters of Reagan. I’m proud to be a part of this. It’s amazing.”
Jordin noted, “It has been really cool to tell my friends I’m a part of this. A good many of my friends have positive things to say about him.”
