As previously reported on TeenChive, Taylor Swift recently visited Ellen and talked about her hit new album, Speak Now.
During the interview, Taylor was asked about the highly discussed and highly controversial “Dear John” track; rumored to be her take on a relationship with John Mayer.
When asked about the song, Taylor did not dispute anything but added, “The thing is with my career and I have been fortunate enough to have success. I’ve had a few main goals and priorities. If I was lucky enough to continue to get to do this…Those two goals were to in spite of success always remain the same person and in spite of success remain the same songwriter.
She continued, “When I was 12 years-old I started writing songs about my life and just because people are now kind of more interested in the subject material of those songs a little more than when I was 12. I’m still going to continue to write about my life. I guess people are going to continue to speculate about it and I’m going to continue to never tell them who the song is about.”
Classy as always.
