#10 Sabi

Although her debut album isn’t due until 2012, Sabi has made a name for herself this year. The 23 year-old singer became increasingly popular by appearing on Cobra Starship’s song “You Make Me Feel…” as well as performing along side them at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards Pre-show, and the America’s Got Talent finale. As if that wasn’t enough publicity, her song “Wild Heart” was used for the season two promo of Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
#9 Jessie Malakouti

Jessie Malakouti is the lead singer of Jessie and the Toy Boys – a group that features Jessie and her four male mannequin bandmates. Earlier this year she opened up for Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on Britney’s widely successful concert tour, the Femme Fatale Tour. The group’s songs have been featured on popular TV shows and their first single “Push It” peaked at #7 on the Billboard dance chart. 2011 has been a big year for Jessie and the Toy Boys and 2012 should be even bigger, with the release of their debut CD, This is How Rumors Start.
#8 Rachel Crow

At the ripe age of 13, Rachel Crow auditioned for the first season of The X-Factor and was the very first contestant to make it through to the next level on the show. Although she did not win the show, and the subsequent prize of $5 million, she placed fifth overall and is rumored to be being considered by Disney to be the next Hannah Montana.
#7 Javier Colon

Unlike Rachel Crow, Javier Colon actually won the singing competition that he was featured on, The Voice, along with the grand prize of $100,000. During his tenure on the show, Justin Bieber was his biggest supporter. In November Javier released Come Through For You, his first album since winning The Voice. Javier also received the honor of being asked to perform at The 4th Annual Holiday Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at LA Live, as well as the 2011 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting, which Justin also performed at.
#6 Elle Fanning

It seems like just yesterday when Dakota Fanning was the most sought-after child actress. Now her 13 year-old sister, Elle, is trying to fill the void that Dakota left when she became a teenager. 2011 was a huge year for both Fanning sisters. Dakota filmed Breaking Dawn: Part 2, which is due in 2012, while Elle starred in Super 8 and appeared in Twixt and We Bought a Zoo.
#5 Scott McCreery

At the age of 18, Scotty McCreery has a long career ahead of him. American Idol has a track record for producing popular country music singers, so this AI winner shouldn’t be an exception. Since being the tenth winner of the popular singing competition, Scott performed at the 2nd annual American Country Awards as well as this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
#4 Rebecca Black

Rebecca Black needs no introduction. Everyone in the world has heard her hit song “Friday”, which earned 167 million views on YouTube before being removed by the website, at her request, back in June. Aside from a little known boy named Justin Bieber, Rebecca is arguably the biggest YouTube success story. At 14 years-old Rebecca has started her own independent record label, RB Records, and plans to release a full-length CD soon.
#3 Big Sean

Rapper Big Sean, 23, released his debut album Finally Famous over the summer and it spawned hit songs such as “My Last (Featuring Chris Brown)” and the popular club song “Dance (A$$)”. In it’s first week, the CD sold 87,000 copies in the U.S. alone. He is signed to Kanye West’s “G.O.O.D. Music” label and has been featured in many rap songs throughout the year.
#2 Rosie Huntington-Whitley

Rosie Huntington-Whitley has been modeling for Victoria’s Secret since 2006, but it wasn’t until she was cast as the female lead in Transformers: Dark of the Moon that she became an A-list celebrity. Although her acting skills are far from stellar, she is revered for her beauty and currently holds the top spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 list. In addition to gracing the cover of countless magazines this year, Rosie was chosen to be the face of Burberry’s newest fragrance, Burberry Body.
#1 LMFAO

LMFAO are the inventors of a new type of music called party rock. “Party Rock Anthem”, the debut single from their second full-length studio album, held the number one spot on the charts in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States. Their song “Sexy and I Know It” has quickly become a huge hit on the air waves, and “Champagne Showers” is one of the songs I listen to most on my Blackberry.
