#10 Boy Meets World

Although Boy Meets World originally aired on ABC from 1993 to 2000, most of us remember watching the reruns on Disney Channel. It was the closest thing to an adult show that aired on Disney Channel in the early 2000s, and made kids feel grown by watching it. There was something for everybody in this show. If you like romance then you get that with Cory and Topanga, and if you like to laugh you get that with Shawn and Eric.
#9 JONAS

I admit to tuning in to a few episode of this Jonas Brother’s sitcom. It was one of few Disney Channel shows not to be recorded in front of a live audience and not feature a laugh track. In the second season the show was changed to Jonas L.A to reflect the characters’ move to Los Angeles. Sadly, the show rapped production after just two seasons. It’s safe to assume that the Jonas Brother’s were too busy doing other things and no longer had time for the show. The oldest Jo Bro, Kevin, got married, Joe was being a player, and Nick was banging Selena Gomez at the time.
#8 Sonny with a Chance

This is the show that arguably made Demi Lovato a household name. This series featured a show-within-a-show, because it revolved around Demi’s character, Sonny, becoming the newest cast member of the comedy show So Random!. The show ended after just two seasons because Demi Lovato entered rehab, and when she got out she chose to pursue other things. However, Disney Channel created a spin-off show So Random! with the orginally characters from Sonny with a Chance, with the exception of Demi.
#7 Cory in the House

Cory in the House made history on Disney Channel by being the stations first ever spin-off. It was a spin-off of the widely popular show That’s So Raven. The show centered around Cory and his dad moving to the White House, and his dad accepting a job as the President’s chef. It lasted just two seasons, and in my opinion this show had the coolest theme song out of all of the shows on this list.
#6 Phil of the Future

This is the show that introduced the world to Alyson Michalka, one of the most attractive girls to ever air on Disney Channel. The series focused on Phil and his family traveling from the year 2121 and getting stranded in modern day 2004. While trying to repair their time machine, the family struggles to fit in with society. At the end of season two, Phil and Keely (Alyson Michalka’s character) turn their friendship into a relationship.
#5 Even Stevens

If not for Even Stevens, Shia LaBeouf probably wouldn’t be where he is today. Which would probably be a good thing because his acting was kind of annoying in the Transformers films. What most people loved about this show was the clashing between Shia LaBeouf’s character, Louis, who was an underachiever, and his braniac sister, Ren. The series ended in 2003 after three seasons, with The Even Stevens Movie. The movie was a terrific way to end the series.
#4 Lizzie McGuire

This is the show that launched Hilary Duff’s career as an actress and a singer. Immediately following this show, Hilary Duff was the most popular teenage celebrity because of her successful CDs and movies. The series won ‘Favorite TV Show’ at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in 2002 and 2003. After two successful seasons, The Lizzie McGuire Movie was released in theaters and was the perfect way to end the series, and launch Hilary Duff’s career as a superstar.
#3 The Suite Life…

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody aired in 2005 and is responsible for the initial popularity of of Dylan & Cole Sprouse, Ashley Tisdale, and Brenda Song. You can also add Selena Gomez’ name to the list, because of her appearance on the episode ‘A Midsummer’s Nightmare’ where she shared her first real life kiss with Cole Sprouse, and was seen by many teenagers for the first time. After three seasons, Ashley Tisdale left the show to pursue other things and a spin-off was created, The Suite Life on Deck. This series lasted an additional three seasons and I can honestly say that I never watched a single episode.
#2 Hannah Montana

Who doesn’t like Hannah Montana? Obviously Miley Cyrus would like to forget all about this show, because it is the reason why she is expected to behave like a good-girl. On the flip side it is also the show that made her one of the biggest Disney stars ever. The show is centered around Miley Stewart, an average girl with a normal life who becomes a pop singer, Hannah Monatana, to hide her true identity from the public. After four seasons, the popularity of the show led to live concert tours and the release of Hannah Montana: The Movie. Just an interesting tidbit, Miley Cyrus originally auditioned for the role of Lily Truscott (the best friend) but the producers thought she would be better for the role of Hannah Montana.
#1 That’s So Raven

Four years after the series rapped, That’s So Raven‘s DVD/Blu-ray sales are earning Disney Channel more many than any other show. The show aired in 2003 and followed the life of Raven Baxter (Raven-Symone’s character), a teenager with psychic powers that always get her into trouble. The show is the longest-running Disney Channel original series, and the first Disney Channel show to produce a spin-off. That’s So Raven and Hannah Montana are Disney Channel’s most successful series’ and it’s hard to say that one is better or more successful than the other.
