A lot, actually.
Just Jared Jr. has been featuring a ton of new Hellcats material in anticipation for the season premiere, tonight (September 8th) @ 8/7c.
Aly recently told JJJ about her character, Marti, and her musical influence on the show. “I actually do a cover song. It was really different. It’s such a great, organic setting for Marti and it wasn’t pushed in any way. It was very natural. It’s a great scene at the end of a future episode where she just owns the stage. It very much fits with her vibe. She’s a townie (laughs) so she’s going to hang out with different people, she’s going to dress a different way and all that. It’s cool to see her come out and show her talent.”
Aly and her younger sister, AJ, actually recorded the theme song for the show. Aly has been pulling double duty for the cheerleading sitcom (singing and acting) and shared what the show means to her:
“The show has just a fierce energy about it. It’s a great setting and I get to really dive into this cheerleading world. It’s so amazing and interesting. I was able to learn so much just reading about it and talking to the girls on our team. These girls are in shape, they’re mentally determined and focused. They can be hurt so easily doing these difficult routines and stunts. It’s just amazing being transformed into this girl who is fighting for what she believes in and put her on and really own her.”
Ashley Tisdale added, ”There’s this energetic feel, but the drama is there too.”
