Zac Efron, who was in downtown Hollywood yesterday to tape Jimmy Kimmel Live, recently told Movieline that he is specifically not taking on any action flicks right now.
“I have a self-awareness of what is out there,” Zac dished. “Right now, if I was looking at me from someone else’s eyes — like the eyes of the guys who are going to go watch a superhero movie — I can’t say that I’d be ‘two thumbs up’ for me to star in an action movie right now.”
“Why would I be? I haven’t done anything to pay those dues yet, I haven’t made any movies for those fans yet,” he continued. ”I think you have to earn the right to hold a gun. You have to earn the right to shoot web.”
While on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Zac said that when he gets some free time he would really like to sail with his father.
“Sailing is sort of hard. You can’t just say ‘I’m going sailing this weekend.’ There is a lot of preparation that goes into it. You need to get a boat and a crew.”
“It’s not like surfing where you just grab your board and go,” he added. ”But, I’d love to do it in the future. I’d like to go some long-distance sailing. I think that would be really fun.”
